Easily slotting herself into the royal family of female indie vocalists, Florence Welsh has more than once found herself put up on the same shelf as Kate Bush, Susie Sioux and Bjrk. Which for an artist who’s only broken out of her local scene just a few years ago, really is a tremendous accomplishment just on its own. Since their first album in 2009, Florence + the Machine have won a slew of awards and their second album debuted at number one in Britain and was in the top ten in the U.S.
Here in Berlin for a sure-to-sell-out show at Columbiahalle, Florence + the Machine are playing supported by guests yet to be announced.
